The goal of the project is to implement advanced diagnostic techniques such as: DNA based assays and serological assays in the W. Stefński Institute of Parasitology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The Institute is a unique parasitological establishment which conducts multi- and interdisciplinary research in the field of medical and veterinary parasitology. The objective of the project is to develop a new area of competence in the field of diagnostics and as a result create a Diagnostic Reference Centre cohesive with European policies. Further objectives of the project are connected with the integration of our facility into the European Research Area. The project is envisaged to increase the national and international competitiveness of the Institute, contribute to building European research potential and have a profound, long-lasting influence on the scientific development of the establishment.
