Otrzymane nagrody: 1977 – Brązowy Krzyż Zasługi za udział w założeniu  Stacji Antarktycznej PAN na Wyspie Króla Jerzego . 1987 – Nagroda Sekretarza Naukowego PAN  „Za wybitne osiągnięcia naukowe” za rozprawę habilitacyjną „Antarktyczne kolcogłowy”. 1990 – Złoty Krzyż Zasługi za całokształt działalności naukowej.
Tematyka badawcza:  Pasożyty Antarktycznych ssaków, ptaków, ryb i bezkręgowców,  głównie kolcogłowy i przywry (biologia, morfologia i systematyka).
